Re: I just want a jar sealer

Got our jar attachments from Amazon (sold by Goodmans) I recently watched someone on youtube use the battery operated 'Food Saver Fresh Saver' to vacuum seal jars. They held the Fresh Saver sealer over the hole in the jar attachment and it worked. They're $16 at Walmart VS over $30 for the automoti...

That's where I got the idea. Thanks.

Re: weak points in your prep's

Communication and security. Just not enough people to provide it at this point.

Re: I just want a jar sealer

I have no use for a bag sealer, even with the attachment for jars. Does such a thing exist? Yes, on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/ABN-Vacuum-Automotive-Canning-Sealing/dp/B00KB9D3UO/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1406449296&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=jar+sealer+pumps Something like th...

Re: A new take on the passenger plane shot down.

The whole Thought behind this post if the fact there was no real evidence presented. Ron Paul identified this issue and was attacked by the media. Everyone was very willing to condemn A country over what little was presented without checking the facts. In short time this post was attacked as a cons...

Re: Anyone watched the New Doomsday Preppers

I look beyond the stuff that's a bit bizarre. I believe their is some good information in the shows for any person, new prepper or veteran prepper. Yes, I've always felt that way. Ya even Psychotics have lucid thoughts and ideas, but that doesn't mean you want to associate with them. :gunshooting: ...

Not yet. George told me about it so I'll have to see if I can catch it on demand.

Re: Gold and silver

My question is what would you rather have in a shtf situation an ounce of gold or silver or 10 pounds of canned food and a 100 round of ammo. think about it is gold and silver really going to be worth anything. There's no reason why you can't have all the items. We have the choice now to spread our...

Re: A new take on the passenger plane shot down.

Oh, I don't know. I think the last post referenced was taking exception to being quoted and then being told he wasn't the respondent. Like anything else there are many of us here who prefer to wait and see what the evidence proves rather than fly off the handle and make an analysis of any incident. ...

Re: Bugging Out

It's all about options: at highway speeds my SUV that gets 25 MPG, my car gets 30 MPG, one M/C gets 45, the other gets 70. If I drive under 40 MPH I can almost double the MPG. I can ride 100 miles a day on my bicycle and walk 20 miles per day with a 45 lb ruck. I have double checked reality - I kno...

Re: Air Algerie flight with 116 people onboard goes missing

Molly, I didn't want to fly anyway and we considered taking the train. However, that would add more time onto our being away from home and as it is, the cost to board our dogs is high enough. Plus, I've got the garden and harvest so anything more than a week wouldn't fly(pardon the pun), although t...
