Also ... what you already have packed in your bag (that you cart around in your car) may be very different from what you CHOOSE to TAKE with YOU, should you have to ABANDON that same vehicle. It's nice to know that if you get stuck in traffic, on a highway for 8 hours, that you have all those things...

no need to vac seal what-so-ever or do any special packing ... keep it dry and the pests from getting at it .... approx 40lbs will fit in a 5 gallon bucket .... get a food grade bucket and a locking lid - use the extra in the kitchen .... put the bucket of sugar away and forget about it until neede...

I agree with the commenter who said just instant coffee and maybe some Crystal Lite for drinks. Agreed. Already have both. AND teabags & Hot Chocolate packs.-k You do not need any condiments except salt. No stir sticks. Sorry, condiments help bland food go down. :blush: Stir sticks weigh nothin...

I like the idea of using larger packages of products to make smaller packets, because of the expense of buying items like Mountain House. Like I mentioned in my OP, I'm doing this for FOUR bags, not just one. If it was just one, I'd probably not mind spending the money for the more expensive options...
