Re: In a real shtf event, will the nsa shut down this websit

It's one of the reasons why it's good to network with other like-folks, in your community area. APN has individual state forums, where you can correspond with others and in some cases, groups have gotten together to meet and get to know each other. And yes ... print and put in binders any informatio...

Re: Experimenting with old packaged foods

We've been eating boxed scalloped potatoes from at LEAST 2009 ... and stuffing .... and Lipton Pasta & Sauce. I was trying to get a good stock of foods in my pantry starting 2006. Coupons were MUCH better, back then (and the prices) so I really beefed up my pantry. That's why we're eating foods ...

Re: new need help.

:caution: This conversation is going round & round. I'd suggest just ignoring this thread. No more comments because OP will come back with another rambling post to contradict. It's a waste of bandwidth. We're currently facing some serious situations both nationally and globally that require a lo...

Re: End Of The World As We Know And I Feel Fine

I'm afraid to even talk about any of it in my own home! I've been accused of sounding radical (Hubby & Son: "Do you READ what you post on Facebook?"). -k

Re: A Matter Of Occupation

I've thought about this quite often. I have an idea what the occupations are scattered around, in my neighborhood. Keeping in mind who would be particularly useful. I'm not a medical person, but I try to store decent basic medical stuff so that the medical folks who are not prepping have stuff to wo...

Re: Here to learn from the Experienced!

Great to see you and great to have a young person who is responsible enough to see a need and respond to it. Lots of folks to help you here. Just ask questions, when you have them. Pace yourself. Be adequately informed, so you can intelligently talk about this with your family when they question you...

Re: Eggs: Get Them While You Can Afford Them :-(

I have found the solution, at least in part. We have tons of Hummingbirds flying around. I plan on capturing all I can and moving them into the living room. They eat mostly sugar water and sugar is easy to store. They rarely sit still so they won't take up much room and the constant flying will hel...

Eggs: Get Them While You Can Afford Them :-(

This will probably cause an increase in price of the #10 cans of egg powder! I checked the Honeyville Grains site, and they are currently out of stock. Also consider getting eggs and freezing them, if you are able to do so. I don't have time to do a search, right now, but if anyone wants to, it wou...

Re: Urgent Notice about the future of the ENP

Organizing is a huge commitment of time & energy. It's not always easy to end a group, change direction & focus. Especially when you are a dedicated organizer. The NC group has historically been a strong, active group. As one of the organizers you are in a position to clearly see what is nee...

Re: Memorial Day sale on Charcoal

Last year the double packs were wrapped in plastic, which is a nice bonus to help keep it dry. I only buy charcoal once per year (now) and we grill out all year long. I store it up in the attic area of our barn so it stays dry and I don't have to worry much about humidity. I don't know for sure, bu...
