Re: For The "Time Is Short" Folks ?

I've been thinking about this thread a lot. I kind-of think that there is a 'prepping on a budget' thread somewhere around here (or is that on another forum :bored: ). If not we should start a 'prepping on a dime/budget' type thread. Best options at best prices to get started or bump up prep supplie...

Re: For The "Time Is Short" Folks ?

See Gunns, this is what I mean. Look at YOUR list! It's an advanced prepper's list! You are very, very lucky to have *that* list. I'm not even close to that type of list, and I've been at this since 2006. There is no way that the average household is going to be getting to that level of preparednes...

Re: For The "Time Is Short" Folks ?

I think we are loosing focus, in this thread. I believe that Blondie wants to know specific things that should be purchased if time REALLY is short. As I read through the replies, folks are not addressing specific areas/things to get 'in a hurry', when time is not on our side. I realize that preppin...

Re: DIY Rocket Stove-Using 6 Blocks

Below the video, some of the comments included concern that the cement blocks can withstand the repeated high heat and may explode. Any thoughts on this, from those who are more in the know about using these materials?? -k

Re: Canning Nerves!

Oh my Gosh! Will these canning nerves ever stop? Does anyone else have this problem? For me?? NO! I've got jars of home-canned meat from 2006 that I STILL have NOT opened! At first, I wanted to get a good start on stocking jars full that I didn't want to open them. Now ... I'm AFRAID to open them. ...

Bath-time!

cowboy-bath-32243-2.jpg It's a grid-down situation. You are doing a LOT more manual labor and getting dirty! You stink! You need a bath bad! Various situations come to my mind for this. Have you thought about them? ⋅  If the grid is out for a LONG time ... can we still use our in-house ba...
