Re: An Attack in the Next TWO Weeks?

School shootings are radically different then a terrorist attack. The methodology for a terrorist attack will be planned for maximum casualties. The closest school shooting that would be in the same league was Columbine. As far as school security goes… It's a joke. A couple shots from an AK 47 and ...

Re: Do you have a hardhat in your storm shelter?

Excellent idea. We have bike helmets and we keep them downstairs with our bicycles during the winter. Never thought of this before.

An arrest was made. Thus far, no mention if the weapons were recovered. Probably given to his friends or sold.

Re: An Attack in the Next TWO Weeks?

If an attack happens from ISIL...it will be on a soft target like a school. ISIL wants death and only barbaric death. I hope not. Surprisingly, even a small elementary school like ours, in our small town, is inaccessible unless the buzzer is pressed. Security camera is watching. Lynda, it doesn't h...

Re: Americans have two threats right now.

And who do you see running out of the next bunch of contenders you think will put our country first and look out for us? I don't see many so if you think there is a savior there your wrong, congress will not do anything with any of them to make it better, that's our downfall. I'm not looking for a ...

Re: An Attack in the Next TWO Weeks?

We've had these types of warnings before. I think if we were to be attacked(and we will be at some point) it will be when we are least prepared. The enhanced security we see now will be less.

Re: Flowers and Candles to protect us

What? There's no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny  Reb Shhhhh. I still believe. ;) I was heart broken to learn that there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yeah, me, too, and no Wizard of Oz in the Emerald City. I think it's largely dependent on the age of the child and I see where you'r...

Re: Flowers and Candles to protect us

I view this a bit differently. He was speaking with a young child, much like what many of us have had to do at one time or another. I'm sure the father understands it would take much more than candles and flowers to deter terrorism. We all grew up believing in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus, the Ea...

"I know. I'm yanking your chain. It's not that different here in PA. We just elected an uber-lib governor, who has come out and said he's going to encourage the president to settle Syrians here. I hope other Pennsylvanians joined me in calling the governor's office, as well as those of their st...
