Prepping for Two

Postby terrapin » Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:42 pm

I've been prepping for one, and I'm almost there.
I don't think anyone can be totally prepped. There's some stuff we're gonna miss...
no way around it. But, I have the essentials, and some "extras".

I've been prepping for two... "just in case"....

Ya never know.....

I don't think you are alone in that thinking, Terrapin. Quite a few are prepping for the possibility of having additional family members on hand. Some also prepare keeping certain neighbors in mind, as well.

I'm prepping for me and my husband and thats all.The heck with the rest of them. We bust our butts, do with out so we can have our preps and then we're just suppose to have enough for others?..........don't think so. They have their cruises, vacations, yuppy houses, clothes and cars and kids and nights out drinking and dancing in clubs, but we're suppose to feed and house them if SHTF?.....uh huh. ain't gonna happen.
I don't "do" the whole people thing that well anyways. I have no tolerance for people anymore. They're all idiots. People in general annoy the crap out of me. They're so greedy and self absorbed and totally ignorant in so many ways, it's not funny.
Nope. I prep for me and the hubby.

Gen,
Shame on you!

Tacky, tacky, tacky...... :glare:

Roo,
electricity and water. I'm getting closer to my goal----could get along pretty well as things are.
I'm thinking long-term. not just days and weeks. more like months, years.

Next project----a mill for making toilet paper ( can't want to do without that).
Also, maybe a good barter item.

Well ok, if we're going this route guys, I don't have to worry about because I'm post-menopausal. Those "baby" days are long gone! lol

In one of the Predator movies, there was a scene where they were getting ready to check out a deep hole in the ice at the north pole. The last thing this woman put on was a belt that had a 9mm in a holster. One of the other people asked her if she thought she would need the 9mm. She thought about it for a few seconds and said "this 9mm is like a condom. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it." That is wise advice.
