used Military vehicles

Postby onesecond_after » Wed Mar 28, 2012 6:46 pm

Hi all,

Not an ex-military member, but I do work for the DOD. I was curious if any of you knew where I would be able to really have a good pick of used military vehicles (m8 series). I appreciate all the help. Thanks

Not knowing where you're at, maybe you could do a search of "surplus military vehicles for sale in (your state)"? There should be a few restorers that specialize in the older versions or go to the govt surplus auctions for something newer. I think the pecking order for an item going surplus is: Other govt agencies first, then state agencies, non-profits, and finally public, or something like that.
The modern-day Paul Revere patriot might have to ride through, alerting everyone, based on the signal of "ONE IF BY HUMMERS, TWO IF BY DRONES!!"

I am located in california. We have a base near by that sells surplus (barstow) but nothing but junk. Thanks for the replies. I'll check out the place in TN and see what they have to offer!

You may also look at the Department of Forestry. I was looking a few years back. They have auctions once in a while. FYI Good luck!

DRMO- Defense Reutilization Management Office reassigns or autions surplus de-milled military equipment regularly. Google them.
