How new US ‘green’ rules will kill New York jobs and everywhere else

[snip

Manufacturing has seen better days.
Over the last year, New York’s manufacturers posted the largest job losses of any sector here. And a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York finds that statewide factory activity fell in June to its lowest level in more than two years.
Yet the Environmental Protection Agency just decided to make matters even worse.
The agency on Thursday issued new rules on “ground-level ozone,” a gas that’s created from car exhaust, factories and gasoline vapors. High concentrations of ozone can cause respiratory problems. The EPA reduced the permitted amount of ground-level ozone emissions from 75 parts per billion down to 70.
Even though ground-level ozone is at the lowest level in decades, the EPA has put forward a draconian new rule that would cost our state economy billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of jobs.

At least 8 of those in the list are energy companies that have been shedding jobs for over a year. All of those jobs will return when oil goes back up.
