SC: legislative opression

Postby Earthbound » Sun Jan 02, 2011 8:14 pm

I've been browsing the list of pre-filed bills for the 2011 SC Legislature session. Some good but most bad as you would expect. They're proposing to start requiring liability insurance for mopeds so there goes my backup SHTF transportation plan.

Not only that, but if gas goes over $4 as predicted, I was thinking of that as my primary work commute transportation.

They also have a bill in the works to add local "user fee" of penny per gallon. A penny won't matter but that's how everything starts and then grows. Social Security used to be only 1%.

liability could not be that much on a moped...Scooters seems a bit nicer though, you still get about 50-60mph, and a bit more speed.

LMAO You got to admit how ridiculous this is. Looking for and finding any thing they can to gain more control and make a buck. How long before our kids have to show proof of insurance on there skate boards?

When the SHTF I don't think the state will be worried if you have insurance on your Moped.
