What is wrong with people

I am just wondering if I am nuts or are most people really messed up? I live in a small town at least 10 minutes from the nearest law enforcement and the state decided to put to repute offended child rapists into my community. Both have three child sex offense convictions each with a total of almost 200 children raped or molested between them. Needless to say having them less than 100 yards from my wife and daughter while I am at work is not something that gives me great comfort. Well one of them just died from natural causes and I was in the local post office when I heard about it, so it was a win win for the community, none of the locals is in trouble and we have one less person to watch out for. I started to do the happy dance that we were down one danger to the community, wow I got a lecture on being cruel and callous, and how I should be sad that someone died. What the heck am I nuts but I am happy he is now feeding the worms (ok maybe not I don't want any of his filth getting into the ground water).

If fact i would go one further and raise as much hell with the State as i could. Some group wanted to open a homeless feeding place around the block from my last house. Now yes the homeless need feeding and yes good Samaritans, and blah blah blah, but put that $hit in a commercial area, not around the block from stable homes ... We made such a fuss the City wouldn't grant them the zoning board approval.

most states have minimum distance requirement, for child molesters, from schools and play grounds ..... in a smalll town they have problems with these requirements .... anyone ever break out a tape measure?

I know how you feel. We have many children in my neighborhood and we ended up with 2 child molesters living across the street. Well the screwed up system let one of them live with his girlfriend and young daughter. Guess what? He is now back in prison for molesting the little girl!
I just don't understand either and I do not blame you for how you feel.

Get a group togather and buy the house, then rent it out! It is legal to have provision as no felonies, sex offenders, drug use, violent history etc.. in your contract. I am a landlord and I do!
