Why is showing this and other forums locked?

O.k., I see now the subforums are unlocked. But I am confused.

There are several...the explanation is that the "Main" forum is "locked" as to adding more subforums, but you can still post to your heart's content on the subforums.

What it does is keep people from accidentally posting articles under the parent forum. It makes the Parent Forum a Sub-Category of the main Category. It saves us the trouble of having to move the posts to the appropriate sub-forum. If people are unsure of what sub-forum to post on they can post on the general sub-forums like "General Homesteading Topics" for example. If anyone wants to create a new Sub-Form all they have to do is let us know. I'll see if it's possible to give moderators permission to create new sub-forums under their moderated sub-category as needed.

NIP - i sent an email to admin (which has been sitting in my outbox for about 5 hours now???) in which i asked for a user manual or any kind of operating notes on how to "moderate" our respective threads???

i have gone through the moderator user panel and all of the FAQs and done some google searches and i still don't know how to actually moderate my threads...HELP?

My apology Kymber, last I heard, other than the occasional break, one of the admins has been driving truck for last 5 hours. The other admin might be at work too, but i'll make sure they check their inbox to answer that question.

NIP - we all know that you and Matt are very busy and working hard to keep this forum running....THAT is not what i was saying at all?!????! please re-read my msg....my msg was about the fact that i composed a msg to admin but that it sat in my outbox and didn't go anywhere for 5 hours even tho i kept re-submitting it???

as well - some of us don't know how to actually moderate these forums (thanks Sci, Marica and IceFire) and we either need The Manual or some kind of direction....

Big Thanks to both you and Matt. so sorry if i seemed to be bothering you while driving boss. i did not mean that at all!

That's alright Kymber, I think your message did go through, I just havent had time to open it yet...My reply was more my warped sense of humor, I know you didn't mean anything by it...Anyway, I'll give the Ole admin a poke in the side and see what he can do to help.

Kymber-- PM here is not like emailing. The message sits in your outbox until the recipient logs on. The recipient is sent an email notifying that there's an new PM, but the message doesn't actually get "delivered" to an inbox until teh other guy logs onto the forum.

I offer what I can, Kymber. Nothing more. Nothing less.

It's been a rough week.
