You are in great shape with 2 1,000 gallon tanks. I switched out a five hundred gallon tank with a 1,000 gallon tank and I'm pretty certain that I could make it last 3 years, including an occasional running my propane generator. BTW, I did purchase the tank to give me the ability to shop around plus, there is no tank rental fee, meaning that a gas dealer will automatically reduce the cost of gas by about forty cents per gallon.
