Why isn't it called Treason?

Postby FussyOldHen » Tue Feb 26, 2013 9:20 pm

Most of the American citizens don't have a clue about what's going on. But then, they've been educated to be ignorant.

There are others, who do have a clue, and they lambast, complain, whine, write nasty letters, etc, but there's one word that I've never, ever heard mention in regard to the country's current economic situation.

TREASON.

Why not?

The Random House Dictionary defines treason:
"1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

"Treason is any attempt to overthrow the government or impair the well-being of a state to which one owes allegiance; the crime of giving aid or comfort to the enemies of one's government."

So, how is what the Fed and Congress doing NOT treason?

Unfortunately...Treason is a word that is no longer definable.. because we no longer have a COUNTRY that is definable....

Most of us were raised to honor our flag, our country, our way of life.. because it was a GOOD way of life....
Lately... I dont even recognize the United States and the things it USED to stand for ... because we have been divided..
It hurts me that in just 5 years... a way of living has been tossed out of the window like dirty bath water. Progress is one thing... giving up basic common sense is another.
I think the 'world' had a good 50 years... then a NEW age of "Enlightenment" came about... but... this age of enlightenment is for only the few and privileged. The rest of the folks THINK they have it good.. but at what cost?.... Their FREEDOMS are the cost. And they do not even realize it.
Our schools and our social media have taken our children and they have brain washed them.
The sad thing is this... the parents are allowing it even though they KNOW better!.. but to keep UP with the newest electronics/tennis shoes/handbags.. they bury their heads in the sand and THINK they are doing it for their kids... what they are really doing is creating robots. Everyone is SO concerned with what everyone else thinks about them .. that they are giving up their freedoms... and in their souls they realize it.. which is why depression is SO rampant.. and now im ranting and going off on tangents... but...
the main reason Treason is no longer spoken... our Leader is the Leader of Treason against THESE UNITED STATES.

He has ruined us as a nation.

and he isnt done......

Actually there is a grassroots movement to impeach him for treason.

With the Democrats in control of the Senate and House Republicans effectively castrated by the media it will never happen. Still, it would be nice if someone in Congress would step up and propose impeachment.

I hear what y'all are sayin... But, they will never impeach ObowMao for Treason. The Senate's majority is Democratic and as long as the "O" stays left (and never gives in to the right like Clinton did), He will not be impeached... That being said, its time to think outside the box and beyond the left and right agendas. Both parties are following one agenda and that is to grow the Government whether it be in the form of Security or Equality for all... In order for the Government to grow, the Constitution and Bill of Rights have to be transformed, re-written, or trashed and this is occurring now... Look how the Supreme Court is not following and upholding the Constitution/Bill of Rights, but is actively creating law in interpreting it as a living document.... Bills/Amendments/Taxes are suppose to be developed in Congress not the Supreme Court.... The Supreme Court is suppose to arbitrate and come up with decisions of law based on the Constitution not to re-write it...

There isn't just one person to blame for Treason, it seems or appears that they must be all in it together following one agenda.... My concern is a false flag event taking place or someone that is fed up with the system and thinks Treasonous thoughts and carries them out...This will fall under "O's" plans and further his agenda by trashing the 2nd Amendment (under the guise of Security and Safety) and possibly declaring martial law...

Impeach Obama. Cute. Stupid, ignorant and ineffective, too.

It is the job of the House of Representatives to vote on appropriations, as they have the sole responsibility for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.

It is the job of Congress to set fiscal policy and write the tax code. We have annual deficits and a huge federal debt because that’s what Congress wants. Congress is the originator of all deficits and all government problems. No federal employee (including the President) can act at all except to enforce laws passed by Congress and to employ procedures authorized by Congress, either explicitly or implicitly.

The Federal Reserve controls monetary policy, and the Fed was created by Congress.

It's the President's job to propose a federal budget, but he cannot force Congress to accept it. He does not create deficits.

However. this is the first time a budget has NEVER been passed during a "reign".. how come?.. if one IS passed HE has to sign it? what the crap is going on?
I and my hubby submit a budget to each other each month...thank GOD not like the govts.. but.. x amount of bills.. x amount of money coming in.. discrepancy funds left over goes to whom??? ( bats eyes )

OUCH.. my LEFT eye just got PUNCHED!

The President, in accordance with to the Budget and Accounting Act of 1921, must submit a budget to Congress each year. In its current form, federal budget legislation law (31 U.S.C. 1105(a)) specifies that the President submit a budget between the first Monday in January and the first Monday in February. In recent times, the President's budget submission, entitled Budget of the U.S. Government, has been issued in the first week of February. Thus, President George W. Bush submitted the FY2007 budget in February 2006. The President's budget submission, along with supporting documents and historical budget data, can be found at the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) website. The President's budget contains detailed information on spending and revenue proposals, along with policy proposals and initiatives with significant budgetary implications.

Each year in March, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) publishes an analysis of the President's budget proposals. CBO budget report and other publications can be found at the CBO's website. CBO computes a current law baseline budget projection that is intended to estimate what federal spending and revenues would be in the absence of new legislation for the current fiscal year and for the coming 10 fiscal years. However, the CBO also computes a current-policy baseline, which makes assumptions about, for instance, votes on tax cut sunset provisions. The current CBO 10 year budget baseline projection grows from $3.7 trillion in 2011 to $5.7 trillion in 2021.

The House and Senate Budget Committees begin consideration of the President's budget proposals in February and March. Other committees with budgetary responsibilities submit requests and estimates to the Budget committees during this time. The Budget committees each submit a budget resolution by April 1. The House and Senate each consider those budget resolutions and are expected to pass them, possibly with amendments, by April 15. Budget resolutions specify funding levels for appropriations committees and subcommittees.

Appropriations committees, starting with allocations in the budget resolution, put together appropriations bills, which may be considered in the House after May 15. Once appropriations committees pass their bills, they are considered by the House and Senate. A conference committee is typically required to resolve differences between House and Senate bills. Once a conference bill has passed both chambers of Congress, it is sent to the President, who may sign the bill or veto. If he signs, the bill becomes law. Otherwise, Congress must pass another bill to avoid a shutdown of at least part of the federal government.

In recent years, Congress has not passed all of the appropriations bills before the start of the fiscal year. Congress has then enacted continuing resolutions, that provide for the temporary funding of government operations.

One solution is a grass roots movement, similar to the tea party (which got corrupted). This movement has to spread over many many years and re-educate our young to the doctrines of Freedom and small government. Media, Films, and the News has to be transformed into an unbiased system with no cliches and reprisals from members on any viewpoints. It boils down to the truth being told and not weaved into lies. Its as if the last 100 plus years have to be expunged and be re-done. This all has to be done peacefully. I once heard that the good people have to have many babies and overpopulate in order to overcome the entitlement society... Maybe that is one reason why the Government is advocating abortion on the minority people to hold their population size down... They only want the elite to propagate, but that could be turned around. Notice how the Government has no border control. This is to allow an influx of aliens into the USA to add to the depleted entitlement population. A lot of the aliens come from Socialistic Countries and they believe in entitlements and that the Government should provide. So it is a cascading event that is occurring. The borders have to be secure in order for any Freedom to exist, otherwise laws will be passed and Freedoms will be gone...

Okay Duckey... but I have a problem with that analysis?.... actually.. the 'elite' are having less babies and the "entitlement" population are having MORE?.. thats HOW they get more entitlements??? so that doesnt wash...
All , im saying.. that is not the answer .. doesnt work with the present mindset nor the present baby rate...
I need a different answer I guess?.. and to be honest.. Im clueless...its beyond me how this has gotten to the point it has in the few years it has

Perhaps it was working in the background and we missed it? Now it has reared its ugly head.... WE have woken up finally ( meaning ME )... and too little too late?.. or is their a solution?

Just a quick interjection here....Peach....your statement is simply BRILLIANT! Pondering is a lost art...why? I think part of the reason is because of all the "noise"...how can anyone simply sit and THINK any more with all the TVs, radios, cell phones, "iDevices" and other assorted gadgetry that cloud and confuse one's mind? Our children are brought up with all these things, and simply don't know HOW to ponder...sigh.

Anyhow, Peach...your statement is simply poetic, and I so appreciate it...just want you to know
