So far, nothing is gonna happen for a few months regarding legislation and Congress. If an executive order is done by the POTUS regarding assault style weapons, this could be a dangerous spark. That depends on what that EO is:

Its also illegal. Rescinding anything in a Constitutional Amendment without consent from the majority of states is an illegal act.

Number one: I am NOT a gun nut. Before the recent efforts to control private ownership of guns I only owned a little .22 repeater and a black powder rifle I built from a kit and have actually only fired once. Since the government started a concerted effort to put a stop to private ownership of guns I have purchased two large caliber rifles, one hand gun, and a small amount of ammo. for each. Right now I am looking for the best price for a large supply simply because I truly feel that private purchase of these items will not be possible in the very near future and soon after that my abilities to protect myself and family will be severely curtailed. After the U.S. President and Vice President's actions this week I am more convinced that a strong States Rights/weak Central Government system is even more important than at any time since the constitutional congress first met. After speaking with my representative for the first time ever and being reminded that we live in a Constitutional Republic, and not a Democracy and his boast that he will "vote his conscience" I am even more worried. I think these people were elected to do exactly what the citizens wanted them to do and their conscience has absolutely nothing to do with the way they vote.

Did you remind your representative, since he votes with his conscience, that it could be treasonous to vote against the 2nd amendment without first amending it. That its a Constitutional Republic and the people voted him in to office and that its his job to enforce the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Otherwise a lawsuit could be filed against the Government, due to these unconstitutional acts. Your Congressman should be advised to defund any agency that would try to implement any unconstitutional law or EO.

Pointing out that something Obama does is illegal is wasting your breath. This president will be allowed to whatever he wants, no one in this country has the balls to stand up to him. We proved that in November. Get back in your pens sheeples, uncle Barrack knows whats best for you. I know that sounds defeatist but I just watch what the citizens of this country allow to happen to them and shake my head. ANd its not just this generation, it has happened over the last 100 years, Wilson, FDR, all the progressives did what they wanted. Look at the interment of Japanese americans, how the hell was that legal, but they did it anyway.
