gun confiscation

Postby rebnavy1862 » Tue Dec 08, 2015 8:49 am

Wife and I went to our gun club meeting last night. The speaker was the sheriff of my adjoining county. He emphatically announced that no federal agent will be allowed in his county for the purpose of gun confiscation. He warned that it could get "messy". He is now the third sheriff of the surrounding counties, counting mine, to make such a public statement.
I am positive that my gun club, several hundred members, would back him up in any such action. I am also positive that he would appreciate any such support in a sticky situation. Also, each county would support the other.
Very encouraging.

Well Reb, you have some good sheriff's, no doubt about that. Alot of pollice chief's and sheriff's are now coming out and telling people that if they have a CCP to start packing their weapons.

The latest was Sheriff Wayne Ivy from Brevard county in Florida, he stated the public is now the first line of defense, until the calvery arrives. Our sheriff posted in our local paper to do the same.

Its a (edited out by moderator) shame it takes something like Ferguson x Fort Hood x Paris x San Bernardino x ObaMaos gestapo and threats against our Constitution to bring people together to arm themselves and swear allegiance to their own Freedom and Liberty.
I still have faith that there are more good people than bad people out there. But with current immigration policies flooding our nation with undesireables from leftwing 3rd world (edited out by moderator) and the liberal approach to secure votes by promising more freebies its a (edited out by moderator) close call.
Ive contacted my states Senators and Governor to let them know how I feel. All 3 of them let me know theyre working in the dame direction. I live in a great state. I suggest you contact your tepresentativrs too. If theyre on the right side thank them. If theyre not bash them and vote against them as soon as you get a chance.
Keep one on the chamber and a full 30 in the clip. At the least.

And openly challenge it. My definition may vary a bit from yours but I do dare defy it.

Fine, you and your guns go be an island someplace where the taxes that I pay do not help you. For example, federal taxes that pay for the roads and infrastructure that you are taking advantage of. And if you need help, I expect you not to look towards the federal government to bail you out. But, at least you will have your guns....

Ill put mine and my familys taxes paid in the last 200 years up against yours anytime. Dont ever get into a (edited out by moderator) contest unless youre csrry a couple bushel baskets of fresh turds with you. I pay my own way. Could give you volumes of lessons on self sufficiency. Lemme tell ya something funny.
My grandparents were waiting at a large Ford/Lincoln dealership to get his truck serviced. Mama sat down in a new Lincoln to rest. She sat behind the wheel and commented to Papa about how lovely it was and how good it smelled. Papa walked over to a salesman and told him to prepare the paperwork in Mamas name and deliver that Lincoln that afternoon before sundown. A few minutes later the salesman came back and asked my grandfather how he wanted to pay for it. Papa reached in his overalls and pulled out his big Railroaders wallet attached to a chain. He told him cash would be fine. The salesnan said they usually asked for a check. Papa told him to just draft on his bank. The salesman asked which bank? Papa told him Any of em Son, any of em. That was when Mama knew what was going on. And she had never drove a car in her life. Papa said she only drove to Sunday School and seldom stayed for church.
To tell you the truth Miss Rubi you sound like a socialist I once heard say. You didnt do that alone. You had help etc etc. Well thats (edited out by moderator). There are some self made folks in America and I consider us some of em. And somewhere along the way we are doing just fine.
Theres a lesson there if you can decipher it. It wont surprise me if you cant. You started it not me.

I also have a completely remodeled IH cotton picker that was the first to hit my state at the end off WW2 in case it interests you. It was shipped in on a certain railroad that I know a bit about too.

A buddy and his wife are state Hwy police in Ohio and he has said that they will not do any confiscation. in fact that he would give me a heads up. As how and when. if it ever comes this way.
My county and local PD are not going to as well. they would not last long with all the redneck's around.

Lynda, it has actually been this way for at least three years. We all knew where the sheriffs stood. In the past 6 months, they have become very vocal in their opposition to the Obama administration. In the rural counties of Virginia, a sheriff is the only entity of law enforcement. As an elected official, he answers only to the citizens of his county. Unlike cities, which have police chiefs, a sheriff can legally refuse to allow federal agents to cross into his (our) county. If the agents persist, they can be arrested and removed to the county lines.

One of our club members asked the sheriff if he would have a need for back-up in such a situation. He replied that it would be greatly appreciated. My gun club is one of several in the surrounding counties. There are dozens of hunt clubs. My club consists of mostly veterans, LEO's, teachers, and other professionals. They are not rednecks, which many liberals automatically assume.
I can easily envision thousands of well armed and experienced citizens turning out for support of our rights.

It is very encouraging to experience such a grass roots effort in support of the Constitution. I know this is happening all over rural Virginia. I imagine it is happening elsewhere. I certainly hope so.

If this liberal administration attempts anything so foolish, they are going to be faced with a very unpleasant experience.
The anger, distrust, and resistance are already there. It will not take much federal intervention to bring it out in the open and in force.

I, personally, would consider the railroad and the Eisenhower highway system to be 2 of the biggest socialist programs in the U.S. Glad they could be of service to you.
