The PVC used in these places...Are they specially treated PVC, or just PVC you could go purchase at a local hardware store?

I made mine from 6 inch PVC and street 90s. Not dead yet. I think the PVC scare is just that....a scare! Now, if you plan on burning your hydroponic system, then ok....you have other problems

$500 is expensive! I have a classic aero garden and love it. Don't get the three pod unit as it's a diff. Technology and not as good, but any of the larger ones are pretty idiot proof and space saving.
