Medical Kits for BOMK and Home kits

Postby Mexicanjoe » Fri Jul 05, 2013 5:32 pm

I have a few kits for many uses. One is a bag that goes with my BOB. Another is my house and back up bag is another. I also have an overflow bag so if TSHTF whatever Doctor I can wrangle up will have supplies. Also remember to have a shop or house kit.

Here are the links to the vids I have done on these. Keep checking back to see what's new.

If you have a topic you want covered let me know.

Hey, Joe. Thank you for the vids. I watched, I got reassured on some stuff I have packed, reminded of stuff I need, and learned a bit, too. Pretty cool.

Thank you Arkie.
I am still uploading more. The object is to swap ideas and see what others have thought of that we have missed. It's a never ending educational growth thing. It's a life style.

I have recently posted one on all our new chicks, 1 on the general medical bags then 3 on indepth in each bag.

I am going to start working on posts for map reading and land navigation, seining in full tactical gear and more tactical issues. I have many interests and skills as well as the skills of others in my network.

I have an IFAK for my bug out bag.

I have tubs for my medical gear. So much of it. Always adding more.

You have some pretty nice kits.

For sutures and suture kits I find ebay is a better deal than Amazon, typically. Same for skin Staplers.

Liquid Bandages are good stuff. There is a spray on one too.

I agree Das. Liquid band aid and the spray on is great and stores well.

Joe I love the quick look at your kits. I really like the way you have in a way thought outside the box. Great stuff! Thanks for the posts and vids.

Thanks dtwn92. I think that's the key to Prepping is getting outside the box.
What was outside the box in your view?
Let me know if you want anything more in depth in an area and I will see what I can do.

I am about to do a couple interviews with some Military Operators who are into the prepping world and get there take on prepping. When I do I will post them on You Tube as well.

Thanks again, comments always welcome and appreciated.

Really you did great, I think my outside the box comment was that you actually took the time to put something together instead of just purchasing a ready made kit and the items you have are within your ideals of what you can do medically.

I'd love to see more vids, post them up when complete.

Nice job!

Will do. You can also subscribe to my you tube.
After I do a training vid I post it there and then copy the link over.

To me the standard off the shelf medical kits are for more minor stuff.
In a bug out scenario medical needs will be more serious so I think the bag needs to keep up. I know that some of the survival sites sell some great kits but mine are as good at a few dollars a day until they are completed.
Also I have the bag that works best for me.

On a side note.
I just did 2 interviews for Bob Mayne over at Today's Survival show. They should be up in about a week.
One was from a buddy of mine who was in the LA riots and the other was from an operator and how he is a mix of Prepper and Militia.
I have 2 more to do this week.

Thanks for the compliments.

Have done a few more over there for bob since this thread opened.
I am trying to get 2 interviews a week done to help him get caught up on his site.
Last one I did was with Tabitha from Thumperlane.
She is hilarious and has a great story to tell and documents everything she does on her property.
It was a lot of fun. I see more interviews coming from her.
